My Flameworking experience started 20 years ago. I've taken many classes from famous glass artists from all over the world in boro and soft glass. I have a large skill set that includes; sculptures, glass blowing, beads, enameling, metal fabrication, art jewelry and slumping glass plates. I enjoy traveling with my mobile torch studio around the States and meeting new people, making new friends. My classes accommodate up to 10 students with individual torch work stations. No experience is necessary and all the supplies and tools are included in class. My charitable contributions include participating in the "Flame On" competition in Milwaukee, for the American Cancer Society and "Beads of Courage" for Children's Hospitals, plus many other local events.
What makes me unique as a flameworking instructor is my 23 years working in public education, teaching special needs children. I understand the importance of reaching multiple learning intelligences and of course the art of patience. In addition, I've been a flameworking instructor for over 15 years.
Join me for flame working skills of ancient to modern techniques. Through art we respect past generations, give to our present generation and challenge our future generations to create. Please contact me if you are interested in learning more about classes or would like me to teach a class in your area. I teach private lessons as well.
Light up your life or someone else's with a flameworking class!
