Art has always been important to me. My flameworking experience started 20+ years ago. I've taken many classes from famous glass artists from all over the world in boro and soft glass. I have a large skill set that includes; sculptures, glass blowing, beads, enameling, metal fabrication, art jewelry and slumping glass plates. I enjoy traveling with my mobile torch studio around the States and meeting new people, making new friends. I believe in being helping others in need and my charitable contributions include the American Cancer Society and "Beads of Courage" for Children's Hospitals, plus other local events.
What makes me unique as a lampwork and flameworking instructor is my 27 years of working in public education, teaching special needs children. I understand the importance of reaching multiple learning intelligences and of course the art of patience. In addition I've worked as a flameworking instructor for almost 20 years.
Join me in class and learn new skills of ancient to modern glass art techniques. Through art we respect past generations, give to our present generation and challenge our future generations to create. Click on my "Classes" page, find a location or date, and sign up. Please contact me if you have any questions/concerns or just want to learning more about classes or would like me to teach a class in your area. I teach private lessons as well.
